They have to explain where he is by the first pitch. If they don't know it isn't there fault. Their first statement was agnostic, it just said he wasn't there and they don't know where he is. That's not placing blame that's informing the public.

If they don't know where he is after he already told them he was leaving, then they put out a statement with deliberate phrasing to draw your mind to a certain conclusion. This type of thing the scum running the team have been doing for a long time.
