Glad u made this thread. Idk why black folks seem so susceptible to falling for this type of shyt. My dad has been involved in plenty of these. Dude has lost a ridiculous amount of money and also friends because he was always that dude recruiting people. And when they lost money they'd quit dealing with him.

It actually makes sense for a celebrity to do it. They can get a gang of people to follow them off their name alone. Coupled with a get rich quick pitch, I don't see how they can lose.

But most people will absolutely lose. I don't understand how this business model has survived this long but you can never underestimate the stupidity of the masses and get rich quick is a dream people WANT to believe so... :manny:

But I don't see much difference between this and the lottery. Lotta black folk wasting dollars on that shyt too. :mjpls:

im noticing the main difference in these mlm companies is how they draw people into their web

Vector uses the 17.25 "per hour" (per session)
Wake Up Now uses washed rappers to game black folks
5linx let's you stunt in a expensive whip for a week :laff:
Amway invites you to meet rich people to sell you the dream
Primerica "we're a top rated company" blah blah

And they never talk about what they do or what they sell (with exception of vector).

I'd rather work at mcdonalds than do one of those...cause atleast I'm getting consistent pay.

I'm familiar with all of these...anything where you have to sign people up or go door to door hawking someone else's product is a recipe for failure.

I was on my run the other day, and saw some flyer taped to a lamppost, 'Wake Up Now', I immediately started smirking and thinking about The Coli, and knew it was one of those MLM scams, that target an 'urban' demographic, with videos of hotel suites and rented late model vehicles…I'm glad no one in my social circle is on this, I'm sure it'd be all over some peoples Facebooks, but I don't have it. People whom I respect telling me about 'The Secret' is bad enough :snoop:
