Mo Money Mo Problems, Tyron Smith needs protective order against money hungry family

Barkley had an interview with Dan Lebatard a few weeks ago discussing how he had to cut out most family and friends once he got his second contract. He said he actually signed a bad deal with the Sixers because he owed so much money (he also got his money stolen from him by an agent). Barkley claims he lost like 50 million dollars because of signing less than market contract which stemmed back from his second contract.
He said he would go back to Alabama to chill with them and some friends and he said one of his boys pulled him aside and said that these guys talk about you behind your back. Barkley said he knew and it was all because he stopped giving them money years ago. He said he and his athlete friends have conversations about this all the time. He said you have to tell them no or they will bleed you dry.
It's a damn shame that this happens to families.

Not a restraining order but I had to change numbers man. Folks coming up with excuses left and right. Sending their kids to ask for their own stuff. While they the parents have tricked their bread off at circle city classics..etc.
I had an analysis done and this yr alone I've gave my fam 10k as of oct. may not be much to some but that could've been in my savings for my kids when I have some.

family is the fukking worst when it comes to money. Aint shyt new. And it's even worse when it's nikkaz.
my mom has my grandmothers house in her name and I dread the day my grandma passes. When it was time to fix the place up and shyt, none of my other aunts (mom's sisters) could or wanted to help, so my mom and dad did it on their own after getting my grandma's house in their name (my grandfather signed it over to my mom - my grandparents are divorced). Anyway, when Grandma passes I know shyt will hit the fan, esp with my aunt living there. Even worse is when my parents pass and I not only own the place, but I am the sole trustee of my parents estate. My younger brother and sister gonna be on that bullshyt when that day comes, but I already let them know to pump their fukkin brakes. Nobody getting shytuntil all my parents debt and shyt is taken care of. And since they gave me the ALL THE power, yall (sister and bro) will shut the fukk up.
Sorry about the rant, but I can't stand that kinda shyt.

At least he stands up too em. It took my g/f years to stand up to mother over this. I basically intervened and put an end to end it once she started coming after our son as a stoop for her finances. That shyt almost broke our family up.

Beggars can't be choosers. There's a ton of black people and Mexicans working hard labor jobs. There's nothing stopping able bodied people from working those same jobs. Seriously, There are jobs out there. If one is motivated enough, you'll either hustle jobs where you get paid under the table or work a minimum wage job. Bare minimum.

It's an assumption on your part that $300 was spent on groceries a week for one person. If his parent's were making the kind of money to pay for rent, utilities, gas, and food, plus $300 in groceries for one person, they would be doing better now that they don't have a $300 grocery bill for one person.
This is one reason why athletes end up going broke. Trying to fulfill every family members needs and wants then u end up bankrupt. If you wasn't there from the start don't pop out the woodworks when things start looking up.
