About three years ago I was at work with another brother who was also a former street dude. I was 30, I believe he was 34, and we were talking to a couple young dudes at work (all between 21-26) who had played in the streets...
Some rapper came up and cats were talking about how dude was banking heavy, and homeboy and I were telling them that they market that image of "ruch hood nikkas" to impressionable young people who don't know better. Dudes wanted a debate and me and fam were telling them how most the money they see in these videos either isn't theirs, it's whoever is sponsoring their movement, or it isn't real period, cats are holding money phones of blanks...
People really believe every cat they see is authentic and that every cat who sold something was a baller...
Anyway these young guys had they minds made up, but this video makes me remember that convo. Apparently old girl picking up the blanks is in the same boat as the guys I was talking to a few years back. Only half of what we see and hear in this industry is real, if even that much...
