good read - - a classic example of redlining and its effects, i really hate that "black and brown" shyt being littered all through the article tho :scust:
Hate it all you want but it's a fukking reality

"Politicians, urban planners, and real estate companies often use diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) rhetoric while simultaneously displacing communities based on race, class, and power. This isn’t just about property values — it’s about who is allowed to belong and who is pushed out"

Arizona is literally Little Mexico but u want the article to be only about the discrimination affecting black people
Even though these same black people live in poor communities also heavily populated by Latinos

you are just one of the dumb nikkas who think being discriminated against is a fukking competition
The Black population in Phoenix is less than 8% and it was half of that decades ago
Now look up Hispanic population through the years p*ssy
You think these laws were created specifically for black people?

People keep forgetting Phoenix is in Arizona--one of the most right wing states in the country.

Barry Goldwater, the Arizona Senator who opposed the 1964 Civil Rights Act and helped shift the South Republican in his 1964 Presidential Campaign, even agreed with William Buckley who complained there were too many John Birch type right wing nuts in Arizona. Goldwater said he had to tolerate them because they were so influential.

Go outside of Phoenix and those small towns are just as bad as any small Mississippi town. Ask Black folks from there.

That sucks. I'm currently in Scottsdale. I love it in Arizona and want to move here. People keep telling me to check out Tuscon. Of course I loved Sedona and that's what sparked my interest in moving here. Hoping it ain't as fukked up as Oregon, because I love the weather here (admittedly I haven't been here during the hottest time of the year).
