Pistons were literally a 4th seed before Reggie got hurt.

they went 3-12(lost 9 in a row) during Reggie's injury and before the trade.

pistons aren't a finals contender but I'm tired of folks making it seem like they were scrubs.

this is a 5/6th seed type of team that could beat a fraudulent squad like Washington in the first.
They aren’t scrubs but they were definitely over achieving. Drummond and Tobias were playing out of their damn minds. At least now when Reggie comes back he can play more off the ball because Blake is a better playmaker than him, he can get better looks when he’s not dribbling around for 15 seconds.

Drummonds level of play of play has been consistent, in fact its probably elevated more recently, especially on the defensive end. Tobias was shooting at a career clip, but even with him selling down more to the mean, the team's peak was still probably somewhere in the 4-8th seed range, which are separated by a matter of 3 or 4 games. That was their ceiling though.

Hopefully with the acquisition of Blake this raises that ceiling. Not this year of course, but with some good picks in the draft (:stopitslime: Stan) and some solid free agent additions or trades to balance out the roster its a possibility with the changing of the guard that's going on in the East. This is where Stan the GM is going to have really earn his money, cause the team is capped out. And as much as everyone talks about Blake's contract, it's the guys like Leaur and that really handcuff the roster flexibility. Your "stars" are gonna eat the bulk of your capspace, but when you have deadweight getting 10 mil that hurts, and utta a hard contract to move until the final year. This can't be it, our they staying at the bottom range of playoff teams. I'm hopingSstan has learned from his mistakes as a gm and makes some solid moves to round out this roster.

tf he do....i know why okc hates him
I know a lot of people think he’s overpaid and a lot of fairweather fans that watched him the year we made the playoffs and got swept by the Cavs blame him for us not winning a game due to his late game chucking. Plus his injuries. They forget we got him for dj augustin and like a throwaway second round pick and when he is healthy our team has a winning record when he plays. He just isn’t a top 10-15 point guard
