Where did this fallacy come from?

You can still rep and neg with disabled rep.
All 'disabling rep' does in make it so that no one can see your rep bars/level

at people thinking people turn on rep to neg and have to turn it back off.

You don't have to do all that. You can neg/rep with disabled rep.

we're not some group of no name weirdo posters and their aliases who got together SOLELY to give rep points to each other...SOHH Icey has always been bigger than that

besides, no one can name anyone in ACG and TBM is more or less a B-team of SOHH Icey as far as impact, members and reputation
