I don't care if he's a wanted fugitive, my point is that the media treats him with kid gloves. They have never attacked him. I didn't say anything about his legal situation. My points were about how he's treated in the media.

ESPN been a joke and these talking heads love it when black men mess up. I don't know how anybody can take First Take or ESPN seriously with how quiet they are about Dana slapping a woman on tape. We all know none of these talking heads that are quick to attack black men aren't going to bring up this Dana situation.

Its what they do they where all quiet and brushing it under the rug with Robert Sarver and Brett Favre while Magalika was 360 slam Dunking on Udoka. Of course they going to cover for they boy Dana.

Espn ain't been the same since the Stuart Scott days. And if you are forced to watch it due to your team playing a nationally televised game there. You're way better off watching it on mute or if you have a surround turn down the center channel audio. :ahh:

I know y’all want it to be racial but the truth is ESPN is currently in a $150 million dollar deal (annual, $300 million overall) with the UFC, and the revenue UFC brings to them just in ESPN+ subscriptions alone helps keep their lights on.

Considering that, it’s not shocking they’d have more smoke for some random athletes than Dana.


Is it fair? Nah. But is it shocking? Not really

But ESPN is so blatant with their agenda when it comes to NOT reporting on a story that clearly has a public interest. And they do it to protect their business relationships. And this isn't groundbreaking stuff here. But it's always worth pointing out how "in bed" the sports media industry is with the sports entertainment industry.

This is why sports journalists aren't real journalists. There's almost zero sense of independence or any feeling that their role is to hold the people they report on accountable.

Stephen A Smith in particular made his television career on blasting black athletes over substance abuse, various mistakes and other criminal behavior.
He and Molly Qerim ought to be ashamed of themselves if they had any dignity at all.
