I know all about drugs. Grew up around addicts. I also know that raising kids around drugs is exactly what causes people to become drug addicts.

You're tryna tell me you wouldn't notice if your 11 year old kid was on crack? If you're any kind of parent you'll know what your kids are up to. And when they're old enough they can make their own educated decisions.

You people who act like raising kids around drugs is cool are just as bad as the super overprotective parents. Kids don't need to be thinking about drugs or alcohol period. Tell them its bad end of story. When they're of a certain age they can start making their own decisions and if you see they're involved in that you can have your little talk with them. But raising them to think that ANY drug is okay is a recipe for disaster. This kid proved that.

You don't put the idea of drugs into their head because that is a recipe for disaster.

What kid has access to drugs at 11 years old? If you're any kind of parent your kid won't have access to drugs, much less the time to use them until they're at least in high school.

Therefore preventative measures should be more then enough to keep your kids safe. You don't need to explain the pros and cons of drugs to your kids at a young age because NO YOUNG KID SHOULD BE USING DRUGS PERIOD.

when your kid decides to start using drugs THATS when you can sit them down and have your little talk with them and see where there head is that.

You don't need to put the idea of drugs into a KIDS head when a KID isn't even thinking about shyt like that.
