This ain’t about what Netflix can afford to pay her. Surely they could afford to pay her more. Just like they could afford to pay the stage hands more. As long as they aren’t paying the black or female stage hands less than they’re paying the white and male stage hands then there’s no basis in claiming Netflix is being racist or sexist with their compensation. Ditto for Mo’Nique. If she’s going to make these claims, she’s going to need to present a case where Netflix negotiated more fairly with a comparable talent.
