I think they read a little bit too much into it.



It was less mourning and more of a confused :why: :childplease::ohhh: from the monkey





Im also suprised at the tolerance of the owners. I know 3rd world brehs are extremely hard-on-animals, so i wouldve expected them to beat the monkey once it started its investigation of granpa's remains.

I'm not exactly sure the depth of grieving animals go through but they do have an understanding that death has come. Usually this shows in them trying to first wake up the deceased. Animals form various levels of bonds that can be as close as what we only assume humans have. I've seen videos of cows and donkeys dealing with death. Kinda interesting to know that so many animals must figure out how to let go of someone they care for.
