We’re disproportionately affected by monkey pox for the same reasons there are hoods disproportionately filled with Brehs and Brehettes. The same reasons are schools our underfunded. And rudimentary healthcare procedures hard to get covered. Community disengaged when you’re just trying to figure out how to come up and keep the lights on.

When you have groups that are economically and educationally marginalized, you leave them open for certain pitfalls. HIV is one of those. You have lots of people who are low income, with little to no access to healthcare services, and no health insurance. You'll end up with people who have it, but don't get treated. Some who feel their world is over, so they don't disclose, and live life on the edge. It's honestly a nightmare.

MP is showing that it's more of an STD than we previously thought. Add vaccine hesitancy that's found in parts of the black community, and you're going to end up with a lot of unprotected black men.

I’ve been saying that I think this going to end up looking a lot like what we see for HIV in this country, where the majority of the cases are gay men, those who’ve been with gay men(women who’ve had sex with gay men) and a smaller percentage of people who got it from heterosexual sex or other ways.

It's not coming from sex and it's not coming from skin contact
it's coming from being close to someone else, such as in sexual situations, for an extended period of time.
This is a situation where being a minute man can be a blessing LOL

But when a man is in close contact with another man, and then that man has sex with a woman, and that woman has sex with you, then you can get it too.
