Are their outliers in examples? Sure. Id imagine with almost any disease. But the overwhelming cases of HIV/AIDS that is spread through sex (not drugs), are mainly gay people.

And I just posted three articles that came up in google when I typed in “monkey pox”. I didn’t even put any other word or phrase. The articles that came up discussed the fact that many monkey pox cases are in the MSM community and that the rate is higher in that community.


It doesn’t mean that others can’t get it (the same goes for HIV) just means certain vulnerable groups are getting it more and are at a higher risk.
