World is incredible with the Iceborne expansion. It's still worth playing, especially after you beat Wilds and are waiting for the master rank DLC.

Going back to play world after wilds would be like playing kingdom hearts 2 and then playing KH1. That shyt feels stiff and clunky comparison. I say play world first if ya gonna do that lol

Ehhh…I see no reason to go back to World if you’re already playing this IMO. They’re pretty similar

Rise or the older Monster Hunters are different enough that they could warrant a playthrough but I don’t think they have the same mainstream appeal

We'll be waiting a year for Master Rank, and Iceborne has much more content and challenge. Might as well play it after he's done with Wilds if he still wants more. I don't think it feels clunky at all.

Anybody playing on Steam, if so, how's the performance?

Hard to say, I have my CPU, Motherboard and GPU all up to date.

I played on my ultrawide with a 3090ti and a 5900x and on Ultra, I was having a consistent frame rate during hunts.

But as you can see on Steam, people howling about performance so use that 2 hour window wisely to test.

High rez pack sent my VRAM up to 20gb so maybe don't install that unless you have that a card that has plenty to spare.
