Reliever Orion kerkering had enough time to make a routine throw to first base even though he bobbled the play in the beginning , it would have ended the inning. The Phils had two outs in this inning already, he didn’t need to make a throw to the catcher at home plate. Instead he threw a wild pitch that catcher JT Realmuto couldn’t catch anyway and their season was over. Now they’re Cancun bound until spring training
