People take kids for granted these days. Any individual that neglects their existing kids should be neutered and not be able to have kids. It's unfair for the kids to be born in families where no one takes care of them.

Better access to contraception + better/more education + advancing women's rights = more freedom = less children (later = potentially more stable family) = less economic strain = more capital. From LDCs in sub-Saharan Africa to SE Asia & the Middle East to more poverty stricken areas here.
IDK why some are so supportive of folks having children they may not be able to support instead of talking about trying to solve the problem at the root. Looking at JUST numbers is a huge mistake.
Let's say these children are born to people who may not be able to support them - then what? Children born poor are more likely to struggle in school and the community and remain poor. Money problems caused by the need to support the children probably will break up families. You wanna look at the poverty numbers for single parent households?

The article was just stating that in New York City black people are having more abortions than live births which is a trend that could spread to different states if not put in check.
Do you know what it means when a population of Black (New York) people are having more abortions then live births? This is not something you should lightly dismiss or ignore if you value seeing the black population expand nationwide like many other racial groups are expending nationwide.

To some extent this article is sensationalist bullshyt...yes, there are too many black people getting abortions but the article makes it sound like black people are dying out or the black population is shrinking, which is simply untrue. The birth rate isn't low enough that something like that is a legit concern. And forcing every chick that gets pregnant to have the baby (regardless of whether she would be able to afford/raise a kid) would only exacerbate existing problems in the black community.
That said, I dislike abortion as much as anyone and would certainly like to see lower numbers. But the way to do that is better sex education and more widely available contraception, rather than trying to outlaw abortion (which won't happen, and would create a black market for abortions even if it did) or force chicks to go through with unplanned pregnancies.

What I want to see is for the black population to expand its economic and political power, rather than trying to have the largest population.
Encouraging black people to have kids when they aren't ready and the kid is likely to grow up in a poor environment is the last thing that's conducive to that goal. That would just lead to more poverty, crime, and economic struggle.
Competing to have more babies than other ethnic groups is silly IMO. What we should want to "expand" is political/economic power rather than simply the number of people.
Why do so many of you think having a large number means something. What's the Jewish population compared to blacks? Who has the more power?
