The White man can create division, but Black people have to help themselves too. Just in a forum like this there are opportunities for Africans and African Americans to make business contacts. A situation like that would likely not exist outside of a forum like this, because everybody goes their own way in real life, but here we make statements we point out how other cultures of Black people think. However, I wish that people here would take a notice of how much diversity that actually exists in this forum. There are Africans, Caribbeans, African Americans, Canadian Blacks, European Blacks, etc. I am literally waiting for one of our African brothers to finally realize that there is an opportunity for them to unite us in a common business venture. It could be as simple as a brother from Nigeria wanting to create a palm oil business or a cassava farm. Maybe he and his family has the land already, but they might need capital to purchase machinery and supplies to get it off the ground. It seems like each poster could invest $20.00 to $50.00 in the venture, which could go a long way towards establishing a small business in Nigeria. That business could hire people in Nigeria and in turn that product could be shipped and sold in the USA under AGOA. That $20 to $50 is not going to break anybody, but it could go a long way towards us Africans doing stuff for ourselves.

It doesn't take any unity. It takes $20 or $50 from a person to buy a share of stock in your farm business. That $20 or $50 is not going to break anyone, so if you ran off with the money rather than to actually invest it in your business then that is shame on you; because Black people did step up to represent. People blow $20 or $50 all the time on b.s., so it would not kill them to invest in a small African business.

Check out the stuff happening on small scale farms in Cameroon and Nigeria. They are making food crops into commodities, which is huge in West Africa which has a population nearing 400 million people. This is good stuff.

The immigrants we meet in the USA are not representative of Africans you actually meet in Africa. As an African American I would throw $20 or $50 in the pot, because that little $20 or $50 goes a long way towards employing people on the continent. That is a big deal, because unemployment is so rampant there and that could help people feed their families. On top of that I would rather help a brother or sister make a living in their country, then to see them being abused by Libyans in LIbya.
