I've heard worst truthfully,African booty scratcher was one of our favorites. Also heard jokes about flies,spear jokes,starvation jokes and of course we mocked the accent. And we have seen Africans spoofed in AA mainstream. But one thing you can say about AA's is if we joked on you like that we usually bought you into the fold after we got all the jokes off. This show missed the boat,if they wanted to have this type of chippy back n forth they could have had a AA male lead,and made it like All In The Family. Having the white savior as the lead and love interest,making jokes like this,adds a completely different element that I refuse to believe they are too blind to see.

Because it's an unrealistic depiction of an in house conversation within the black diaspora, yes these convos are being had but not to this degree or level and it's very nuanced me being a 2nd African in America with complete understanding of Afro-American history is going to have a completely different outlook on this subject than my parents who are 1st gen and have never bothered to look into the complete history of this country. This show needs to be taken off air and re-done by someone who knows what the fukk they are talking about and this lady ain't it
