What the fukk kinda of espisonage on the part of Europeans/America-Whites could've forced those poor manipulated Africans into capturing and selling human beings into the transatlantic slave trade? Why were those Africans accepting payment in the form of imported goods like guns, alcohol, and brass pans if those poor ol Africans had absolutely no agency and were being coerced into these actions? Why did Benin offer an apology for their role in the transatlantic slave trade if they had no agency in the matter?
The truth of the matter is that various forms of slavery (not chattel slavery) already existed in Africa before the european slave traders came there, and was further exacerbated by the transatlantic slave trade as the demand for slaves grew. African chiefs, emperors, and other members of the aristocracy there were fully in the business of using middle men to conduct slave raids as well as selling off their own serfs as well as prisoners of war.
You're the one who might want to look up the diary of Antera Duke and read straight from the slave trading horses mouth about his very profitable dealing with British slave traders.
If anything you said any legimitacy to it then why was it the British that had to end the transatlantic slave trade(for their own interest of course), who were actively engaged in stopping slave trading ships in transit and not the African leaders themselves?
Is this the level of self hate among AA pan africanist that they're willing to be apologist for Africans role in the transatlantic slave trade of THEIR OWN ancestors?
