Another leak said that Kinect has to be plugged in for the system to function.
I don't believe this though, that shyt would basically be anti-consumer to the point they might as well just say "fukk you" on system start up.

Yes, this is indeed concerning. While this is all speculative at this point, I think both of these new consoles are not a first day buy until all this NASA ish is explained throughly breh.

They let us know about the features/specs and let us know it'll be out this year. How relevant is the console design really? How many people haven't copped a console because of how it looked?
And Microsoft is doing this next month, what's the difference? Neither company are doing anything spectacular till E3 anyway.
