More black folks should ask for privacy/release statements instead of sweating in the living room...

....got your aunt, uncles, moms, cousin's faces all on the news grieving while everyone just watches on at home. Imo, (IMO) it can sometimes cheapen the legacy of the fallen soul to see grief stricken folks with purple hair, gold teeth and rip t-shirts all crying and sweating out in the hot sun or in this small ass living room. We should just release statements and keep it moving. Grief is not meant to be seen by everyone, it should remain private. News crews be all up in the faces of people who JUST lost loved ones and getting rapid reactions. They are not in the proper state of mind (again IMO) to give adequate information regarding their lost family members. :yeshrug:

I agree..back on 4c*an during the whole Michael Brown case, certain boards started a meme where they'd call us "Dindus" (after He Dindu Nuffin/He didn't do nothing, something you'd commonly hear in news reports when family members of the desceased were hounded by the camera).

Whole thing reminds me of Malcolm's autobiography when they had his father's funeral, he was uncomfortable seeing all his family wailing and stressing his mother out even more..we shouldn't allow anyone to see us grieve like that, all it does is make other people mock us and laugh at our suffering.
