This recent cry for black men to seek help for our mental health is interesting. There’s no denying we harbor a unique pain that is generationally inherited, festering in the pit of who we are, attacking our mind and body. But, it is a symptom of a societal ill that these same people are seemingly content with being left untreated.

Avoid any public health initiative specifically targeting black men.

Build a trusted group of 2-3 people you can share with completely without judgement and when you feel the need to get shyt off your chest, hit them.

Also, start journaling (very important) and don’t give up on prayer/meditation.

Everything you need is already in you.

Trust it.

Have faith in it.

And don’t be too hard on yourself.

There ain’t a man alive that walks around feeling like he does everything perfectly.

We’re all extremely flawed and that’s beautiful.
Just curious have you or anyone you’ve known needed psychiatric help?

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
"You have to help yourself before you can help others"

Word to pre-flight safety life vest instructions.

But yeah, the stigma about therapy needs to kick rocks. Not every one requires the services of professional psychiatric aid, but those that do shouldn't shy from it... but at minimum, talk to somebody about it. If you can't confide to your woman or friends... guarantee you go to a restaurant, sit at the bar and make a friend with another dolo-patron and i assure you 9.8 times out of ten, you can make a new friend that will listen to your problems and won't judge you because they don't know like that (and you won't care if they do criticize you because of the aforementioned) and will offer unsolicited advice you might be able to consider. Just a thought.

The idea is to find solace is strangers (because everyone else was one at some point in our lifes).

"The last few years I've been working on me baby... there's so much trauma - IN MY LIFE..."

Most of us need therapy. Holding onto pointless shyt for years, messing up relationships or holding onto toxic ones trying to please people.

Indeed I posted to vids but those brehs within them are doing the work with kids and adults. The bro J is official with his masters. Back in my pops home state they have a mental health gym called Inception in Farmington a suburb of Detroit. The city is small I met Mr. Wilson in a round about way.

I'm aware. I'm originally from Southfield. Mr. Wilson is doing some fantastic things, and I hope he continues to grow his platform and help as many men, young and old as much as possible.
