There is definitely something wrong with it for those of us that don't need or want a $15 min. There is nothing wrong with increasing minimum wage, as the cost of living goes up by way of the dollar's devaluation it only makes sense we need more money to accommodate. Our country spending billions on wars but can't take care of home.
This is for many reasons, first and most importantly it's for selfish reasons for me

I'd be happier having the min. Wage around $11. I don't want prices going up for me. The wages go up for those workers, prices go up for everyone. Why should I be willing to fork over more money to help someone that has no drive or care to do more than a min. Wage job that really should only be for the 16-24, or 60+ demos?
If you are outside of those ages and still working those jobs YOU fukked up somewhere, not me. So I don't want to have to pay more for your fukk ups.
Now, saying that. I'm more in favour of a UBI, even if it were just like $500/month. That doesn't take away from your income like welfare or other benefits. That would be more beneficial, and wouldn't make retail prices go up.
Also, a $15 min. Would completely devalue the jobs that are currently in the pay range. I think a lot of ppl that support a $15 min thinks that all other wages will scale up as well.....well, they won't.
