Pretty typical of these bible thumpers.
When topics of homosexuality, abortion, etc come up, the answer is always
"The bible says its wrong and that's that, there's nothing we can do"
But when people bring up the women on their period, working on Sunday, wearing clothes of two different types of fabric, selling children into prostitution, etc, the answer is always
"the bible wasn't meant to be taken that literally"
Jesus always preached that the relationship God was a personal one, maybe someday his followers will realize that message and stay the fukk out of other people's business.

I already explained it. Because many of these bible thumpers use these beliefs to dictate public policy that will affect other peoples lives. Last time I checked, we are a democracy, not a theocracy.
