They're VR ambitions go well beyond gaming. Maybe they've opted to put more eggs in that basket then continuing with risky software that doesn't always recoup the money spent.

And I know you have not had this reaction in threads about Xbox failing or people leaving/loosing their job at Microsoft.
I may not have posted in those threads because I just so happened to not be on at the time but I'm sure I felt the same way. And when I said using this for console war fodder I wasn't exclusively referring to the MS stans. The PS stans are in here doing the same thing.
