1. Religious fundamentalism being baked into laws.
2. A return to white supremacy that was codified in the law. If you're white, you will feel happy to know that black people will only exist as entertainment or domestic servants just like how things were in the 1960s and earlier. You will never again have to think about what your grandfather was doing in the south back in america's "golden age" if you're a white man.
3. A MASSIVE tax cut for you if you're making over 150k a year.
4. A whitening of the country as anyone whose skin isn't a certain shade will be booted out.
5. A return to women's status to what it was in the 1920s and earlier. That means no more divorce, no female sufferage(the man votes for the family), no credit card or bank account without a husband's permission.
He is actively trying to deliver on all of those things. His voters think he's destroying and will rebuild the country in a way that puts them first and gives them social and economic privileges. This regret porn is a coping mechanism. The VAST majority of his supporters are very satisfied with their choice and he's giving them what they asked for.
The women who'll lose their rights think it's good actually because what that means for them is that they'll never have to work again because a great guy will pay for everything. The white supremacists are already seeing what they voted for as ICE goes full gestapo and starts demanding people's papers. The rich are happy to know that the gutting of the social safety net will give them slaves that will have no choice but to die working with no hope for retirement AND they know the money that is being "saved" is going right to their tax cuts.
The end of ANY acknowledgement of racism and the removal of any program meant to put black people on a level playing field will reduce competition for jobs, housing, and any other things that make life worth living by bringing segregation back so whites can enjoy more economic privileges that come with white skin. The religious fundamentalists have already gotten abortion removed and are excited to get rid of contraception and bring prayer into the schools.
The only thing stopping this are judges who can be bribed or killed. If you're in a red state, your life is about to get even worse than it is. If you're in a blue state make sure that you show up in midterms and local elections. Your state can pick up the slack by immediately getting to work protecting the rights you do have with state laws. You need to keep republicans as far away from office as humanly possible because if they get in, they will absolutely destroy your state.
