Equal but for different reasons:
LeBron is trying to get as close to Jordan as possible if not surpass him. Statistically he's on pace (arguably there). Where the two separate is on Championship rings. If Lebron wins this year, he's on pace to get to 5 or 6. If he loses the most he can hope for is 3 or 4 and puts him in another tier of GOATs in basketball in the eyes of some. That being said beating the Warriors in 2 championships in row would be a unique point in his HOF career.
Kevin Durant has a different sort pressure. He's arguably the second best player in the league, but he has been getting sonned by LeBron his whole career. Fact of the matter is homie has been in the league nearly a decade and has only been to 1 NBA finals his whole career. Despite this his former team the Thunder were seemingly on the point of crossing that bridge, after going up 3-1 only to blow the whole series. So what does KD do? He leaves his team behind to join the front runners which is a controversial move at best. Even if he wins he'll be called a ring chaser, but if he loses, it will shine a dark cloud and prove to the haters that he just isn't a King but a servant for life.
