im so sick of these bullshyt rules that defenders cant even hit offensive players. This shyt is out of control. Im not saying that the popularity of football is dying, Im simply saying that officials and governing bodies over football are killing the game. They are talking "football out of football" :mindblown: I saw this MSU vs Northwestern game last week and damn near wanted to kick the TV.

We can clearly see that the receiver changed his body level and lowered himself to either absorb or protect himself, the defender was aiming low. But the defender gets flagged and gets kicked out the gatdamn game? :what: and gets suspended from the first half of the next game? :mindblown: Im all for player safety, but fining players, kickin them out of games and suspending them is bullshyt :pacspit:

Most of us are gonna keep watching though. With my love for the Eagles and Fantasy Football, there's pretty much nothing that'll stop ME from watching :manny:

doggy, at the end of the day its just a game, its not worth more than a human life.

Sure, the regulation is a bit annoying, and inconvenient to the enjoyment of the game at times, but these defensive athletes are no joke nowadays. Nobody is trying to see someone get killed or maimed on national tv, breh.

EVANSTON, Ill. — Michigan State senior safety Isaiah Lewis was clearly in disbelief when a flag was thrown on him for targeting after he delivered a hit on Northwestern's Kain Colter with 11:06 left in the first quarter.

The officials, who incorrectly announced twice that it was linebacker Taiwan Jones who delivered the hit and would be ejected, stopped the game to review the play, on which Colter was playing receiver.

After further review, they recognized Lewis as the player who made the hit that ultimately knocked Colter out of the game and upheld the call.

Michigan State Bronko Nagurski finalist Darqueze Dennard said the Spartans had many words for Lewis as he left the field of his final Big Ten road game.

"We said a lot of things; we felt like it was a bad call looking on the screen, the guy caught the ball and turned up the field,'' Dennard said. "(Lewis) hit him low and hit him with his shoulder, didn't lead with his helmet. I thought it was a great hit.

"We told him we got a big game next week against Minnesota, and we're going to finish this out, and this one's for you.''

Dennard led the team with nine tackles and added another interception to his growing All-American candidacy resume as 13th-ranked Michigan State (10-1, 7-0 Big Ten) scored the 30-6 victory over the Wildcats (4-7, 0-7).

Spartans coach Mark Dantonio was supportive of Lewis, too, both in his post-game interview session and in the privacy of the locker room.

"The first person I put a (Big Ten Legends Division championship) hat on was Isaiah Lewis,'' Dantonio said. "Not because he was out, but because he means so much to the football team, I let him lead the count, too.''

So what did Dantonio see on the play?

"I just saw a hit,'' Michigan State's head coach said. "I looked up on the screen and saw a guy coming inside out, rolling up on his near leg, hitting a guy with his shoulder, and that's what I saw. That's how we've taught people to play the game, play hard, and it's a game of contact

Man you're a trip....so you're waiting for someone to die, in order to justify preventive rules that insure safety for a game?

you just dont get it fam :snoop: Defenders are getting fined, suspended and flagged simply for playing football. Recievers change their level at the last second when defenders go in for the tackle

doggy, why even play football then ? :heh:
shyt, a boatload of soccer players have died on field from heart failures, stop playing soccer too.
might as well not do boxing either, you hit the guy on the head and your goal is to knock him out :ohhh: that doesnt sound very safe
hockey players get all their teeth knocked out...they should take out all hits in hockey :manny: probably take the ice away too, they should play on carpets :ld:
and those savages driving cars...can easily crash and burn to death

why dont we have video game contests ? safe and sound competition, here we go !
