that was a textbook targeting call though. ANyway, the whole football is dying shyt is nonsense. People still gambling out here, people still watching, people still drafting in fantasy. These calls are frustrating but at the end of day, a lot of people are still watching and it's win-win because now they have this image that they're trying to improve the safety of their product. They're just covering their ass.

I feel you on the product being shyttier than it's ever been, but give it a few seasons and fans will be over it.

If your coming at a guy full speed and some other guy pushes you or the guy your getting adjusts his body at the last second, no one can help that

If a DB is in position to tackle a RB and the RB squares up...lowers his shoulder and trucks the DB...why isn't that considered "Targeting"?

and why is it Face Mask if a Defensive player grabs it...but when an Offensive player with the ball grabs a defenders face mask nothing is called.

This is why Matt Ryan can go 30 - 39 in a game and still lose. Passing stats have become meaningless. I remember once upon a time when throwing for 4000 yards meant something. Now it means dikk. I will never Respect Drew Brees as an all time great QB. He and other QB's of this generation have simply taken advantage of the rules changes.

The rules become different once your established as a "runner". There can't be targeting on a defensive player by a ball carrier because the defensive player is initiating the contact therefore they can't be in a "defenseless" position. Now if a RB/WR or any offensive player blindsides a defensive player on a a block or something with helmet contact, then I assume they could be penalized

doggy, at the end of the day its just a game, its not worth more than a human life.

Sure, the regulation is a bit annoying, and inconvenient to the enjoyment of the game at times, but these defensive athletes are no joke nowadays. Nobody is trying to see someone get killed or maimed on national tv, breh.

Dude, in some cases its impossible for the defender to tackle the receiver without a flag. They tell the defender to tackle low, but if a defender tries to tackle low the receiver will lower his pad level right after the catch to match the defender and it will become a helmet to helmet penalty. QBs are literally falling down into roughing the passer penalties.
