Sadly most of Black people are woefully ignorant of our own history. Go up to any Black person under the age of 40 and ask them who Medgar Evers was and you'll be meet with a blank stare by atleast 8 of em. It's sad seeing the community reach the cultural heights it did in 90s, have Obeezy rock the bells in 08, to the state we're in now. No unity, no power, just a bunch of nothing.

I'm not even gonna blame Dems, even though once again they can hop on a plane and fly Ecuador to advocate for someone but can't walk their sorry ass up the street and advocate against the removal or Black history. Hopefully they can figure shyt out and end this white supremacist onslaught in 4 years, but I have little faith sooo:yeshrug:

Above the fray.
It’s time for another mass boycott. If I can’t get the politicians to stand up, it has to come from the people
Rep. Alma Adams would be the point person. She lead the charge to reverse Trump's decision to drop the 1890 USDA HBCU scholarship program.
She's quoted in the original article about this story, and is an alum of NCA&T, like the brave activists featured in the lunch counter display.

*and she's from Newark

This story may be overstated. There's so far no hard evidence of removal of the sit in exhibit. My wife called the museum and they say it's still there with no current plans of removal (to her knowledge). However, the lady also said she'd relay the concern up the chain and they may have to release a statement given the online fervor.

I wish ADOS/FBA extremist focused more on their true enemy Trump than Séun in Nigeria

You're such a hopeless dreamer..:pachaha:

You know damn well that'll never happen in a thousand years :comeon:
..even if he sent brehs back to the plantations to work for his billionaire buddies they'd find a way to thank him for it.

Yeah man. But can recite every line to a Jeezy song from 2006 :heh:

Like people get rightfully outraged at Repubs and shyt like this but honestly outside of MLK and Rosa Parks sat on a bus what can the average 40 and under Black person tell you about the Civil Rights Movement? It's pathetic but explains why we're in the predicament we're in now.

Foolish pride comes before a might fall. Unfortunately, we will bear it with them.

Above the fray.
so are we going to talk about how evil and racist this is but bend over and take it?

negroes should be descending on washington now.
Trump's admin., being the racist animals that they are, hope to mute the response to this with the announcement of "support for HBCUs" which was in an exec. order on Wed.

Gave them a bit of media cover, as they were doing this behind the back door.
And is meant to shape the public response from academics about what they're doing to the NMAAHC by indirectly dangling/threatening future funding to the schools.

and where are the jewish "allies" that should be calling this out?

because certainly, trump admin wouldn't dare touch their holocaust museums.

As individuals, there are and have been people from that community who fit that definition.
But as a group, "the friend to the Negro" tag they claim is bullshyt.
They supported the CRM to the extent that it removed social and legal barriers that impeded their progress also.
And they support Black issues on the condition that people jump when told to.

Lot of the public faces, and private funders, of the dismantling of Affirmative Action and DEI campaigns are "friends of the Negro"
