This raid is what was described on "The Wire" as dope on the table. A public raid of several low level drug dealers with a press conference by an elected official with bags of dope, guns, and seized cash on the table next to him. Meant to show the public that "we are tough on crime". No arrests of anybody higher on the foodchain than low level guys ,though..so ultimately no long term effect on the drug trade.
