A majority ofAmericans d0n't want to allow Syrian refugees into the U.S., according to two surveys taken in the aftermath of the Paris terror attacks.

Fifty-six percent of Americans in an NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll released Wednesdaydisapprove of allowing refugees escaping violence to continue entering the U.S., whether from Syria or other nations. Forty-one percent of Americans feel that the U.S. should continue to allow inrefugees.

A Bloomberg/Selzer poll, also released Wednesday, found similar sentiments when it asked respondents to identify the best way for the U.S. to handle the Syrian refugee crisis. Fifty-three percent of Americans in the survey say the best course of action is for the U.S. to deny Syrian refugees entry into the U.S.

A smaller number of Americans, 28 percent, say the U.S. should continue onward with the plan to resettle 10,000 refugees, without a religious screening process. Eleven percent say that only Christian refugees from Syria should be allowed to resettle in the U.S.

Sentiments about dealing with the refugee crisis seem to be tied to party allegiance. The NBC/SurveyMonkey poll finds that more than eight in 10 Republicans are against letting in more refugees. Of those Republicans who oppose refugee entry, 64 percent "strongly disapprove." Comparatively, 65 percent of Democrats approve of allowing refugees into the country.

Similarly, 69percent of Republicans in the Bloomberg/Selzer poll are against accepting refugees, compared to 36 percent of Democrats.

As of Wednesday, 28 governors across the nation have called for the U.S. to halt itsplan to admit 10,000 Syrian refugees into the country. Twenty-seven of the 28 governors are Republicans. Republicans have argued that the screening process is not strict enough. Obama administration officials argue that the current screening process, which takes about 18 to 24 months, is already extensive.

NBC News/SurveyMonkey surveyed 5,755 American adults using an online poll conducted Nov. 15-17. Bloomberg/Selzer surveyed 628 American adults using live interviews conducted Nov. 16-17.

someone has forgot to tell all these people that you're not any safer if we refuse the refugees nor or you at any greater risk if we take them in.

perpetrators of any imminent attack would already be here.

"We" as in me and you didn't create shyt. I take zero responsibility for any disaster created by the US military in the Middle East.

There are many Arab and Muslim countries that should be gladly opening their arms to these people, but the dirtbags that run this country want nothing more than to destroy any semblance of cohesive culture in the Western world.

They also want to have scapegoats in place when they bombard us with horrific false flag attacks that I'm sure their planning within this country. They also want a further excuse to legalize illegal immigrants. Because when these people come here trust me they will easily be granted citizenship at some point, and this will just add to the excuse to grant citizenship to the many other illegals currently within our borders. Lord knows what other reason they want these people here. . .

But understand this. . . it's not bigoted in any manner to not want people who are reputed to commit acts of terrorism in your country. It's common sense and it's instinctive.

Telling them that wouldn't matter. Xenophobes gon' xenophobe.

But I bet they wouldn't have any issues taking in some European refugees. :mjpls:

My man there are harmless people all over the world. I'm concerned with the handful paid mercenaries that will come in with the lot. It's not worth it. I also resent how our politicians are acting as if they're doing this out of some kindhearted act. There's an agenda here, I mean really who can't see that?

I don't want to take in any more right now. We have enough problems. My reasoning is just nuts and bolts practical. If a civil war kicks off would you want to be in the US? We are on the brink of one right now. Obama is going to have to take the L and maybe pay someone else to take our share or just straight up say no. It's easy for someone who doesn't live in the US to point the finger and say you should do X, Y and Z but you don't have to put up with the consequences of 60 million crazy ass republicans thinking the walls are closing in on them, 30 million pissed of black people who KNOW the table is tilted and 50 million Mexicans set on the reconquista. fukk all that noise. Australia has space. you take them.

Why would the mercenaries subject themselves to a thorough 2 year vetting process in order to enter the country when they could just fly over on vacation no questions asked if they are EU citizens?
