The only reason why it takes long for these cases to get moving is because if you come at the King, you best not miss.
Not that Harvey Weinstein is a "king"...but he is a high profile, powerful non-Black man in America. He has access to the best legal defense in the world, simply because he has that much money. So if you come at someone like that, your shyt has to be airtight as fukk because a rich person with a semi-competent lawyer will have your case thrown out so fast it will make your head spin.
This is why he decided to turn himself in today. He wants to minimize the amount of bad press as much as possible.
Every little bit helps.

Instead, some of the women -- both on movie sets and at Revelations -- said, they came up with ways to combat the alleged harassment on their own, such as by changing the way they dressed when they knew he would be around."
