A segment of white country fans don't like the song, not necessarily due to the lyrics and its imagery but, mainly because they see right through Aldean being a fraud pretending to be a small-town vigilante cowboy...if the song was written by somebody born and raised in a small town those fans would react differently.

Country fans are somewhat like Hip-Hop/Rap fans in the sense that authenticness matters, just like how people always talk in disdain about rappers who're from the suburbs putting on a show acting like they're super hood/thugged out individuals but it's the complete opposite....well in regards to country fans replace the word hood with a small town and replace the suburbs as big city.

The ones buying, bragging, and boasting his song up are likely the racists and pro-police/blue lives matter type crowd looking to piss people off.
Yup and a lot of them still hold disdain for him because of how he treated his ex wife and the fact that she’s arguably worse than him herself.

He wrote a song for his base to sell records

Nas wrote songs for his base I literally just finished the album.

What's the fake uproar about?

Edit: the song was released in May but now getting play due to controversy?

The song has been out for months now as I knew that it existed, but the music video is bringing it to the light.

I don’t think anyone is pretending to be shocked about white people supporting a racist country singer, and I honestly don’t see anything wrong with posting the video, since the video is part of the controversy as well.

Also, here is this cac in blackface

are you serious or trolling? you're creating an opportunity for consumption; he's not gonna go through his views and distinguish between the people who were angered by watching and the people who enjoyed it. every click supports his bottom line.

even posting a version that someone else on youtube ripped supports him, because he probably has copyright sharing set up on his account.

I don’t give a fukk about none of this fake outrage y’all nikkas have an unlimited supply of. I actually went to go find an article about this song and it mentioned a few things that were in the video that were controversial. So if someone is posting a thread about a controversial song that’s supposed to be racist, and the video is part of the controversy, then there is nothing wrong with it being posted for context.

If you got a problem with the video being posted, then you might as well have an issue with the entire thread being posted. Cause you bringing awareness/attention to dude and his song either way.

But you are acting obtuse and you know this since you chose to quote only one part of a sentence. I absolutely hate you dweeb ass nikkas. Always fukking crying about some shyt

I read an article about this song and the main thing it mentioned about the video was some courthouse that was used in it. The courthouse had a few lynchings held at it back in the day.

And I don’t think Lil Durk endorsed this dude. I believe that was another country singer that had a racist controversy

i read the lyrics....

shyt is a lullaby for sundown towns

Imagine going on a road trip to New Orleans. Not a care in the world, the kids are singing off key to your old songs, the wife looking right and it's just all around perfect. Splendid even :ehh:

Oh darn, you ran out of gas and you end up making a turn to BuckfawkVille, Alabama. The population is 200 and 201 on a good Friday. A long of broken down homes, woods and stray dogs roaming these backwoods. You start panicking but God is on the side. Your wife clutches your hand in a supportive way as a black woman should. The kids hearts are racing and resembles the scene from Jurassic Park where the T Rex broke out.

Where is this nearby gas station? You wonder as the streets become dark and foggy. Nothing in sight, no life forms, except the stray dogs and rust belt resembling timber weeds.

You suddenly see a light flash and a familiar noise. In your mind, you are going OH shyt! While your mouth utters "oh poop". Christian man you are, a god fearing man you must. As the only person that shall see this potential incident through, as the lights flash, a stranger occurs, and a whistle to this very song that's charting the boards.

Imagine this song being the final thing you hear before being vanished from reality, as the family and you become another folklore of a hidden truth within this country.

you're being given information and you respond with outrage... while also declaring you dont care. :russ:

this isn't hard breh. there's a difference between people on this board having a self-contained discussion, and you introducing video links that support the racist in question. and your explanation doesn't hold up, because you dont have to watch or share the vid to discuss this. at this point people have done the work to explain why this is horrific: there are articles with screenshots of the most offensive moments from the video, and explanations of why they're so offensive.

why not share a link to one of those stories, instead of acting like it's your journalistic duty to present information straight from the source to the coli?

this started with an article you read, right? :ohhh:
