Nude man hit by car while doing pushups in Portland street - seattlepi.com
PORTLAND, Ore. – A man doing pushups in the nude on N. Columbia Blvd. early Sunday morning was hit and killed by a passing car, police said.
Portland police first received a call at 4:04 a.m. reporting a naked man was running through traffic near Columbia and Portsmouth Ave.
While police were on their way to the scene, they received a call stating that the naked man was now doing pushups in the street.
Still en route, police received a third call reporting that the man had been struck by a vehicle.
The man died at the scene, and police have not released his name.
Detectives closed N. Columbia Blvd. for several hours for further investigation of the incident, and say the driver who hit the man was cooperative, and hadn't been drinking.
An autopsy and toxicology report will be conducted by the medical examiner's office.
