Reboots are right up there with prequels and interquels as some of the most creatively bankrupt things writers can do to continue milking a franchise.Its technically NOT a reboot... but a re-do...

Yeah, I understand how you feel but I think it's most likely wouldn't be actual reboot. I could be wrong but I think God Liu Kang rewriting history, restarting the timeline or Shang Tsung rewriting history.
Well yeah it clearly won't be a 1 for 1 reboot, but MK9 did the exact same thing
