no way in hell a kid EVER needs 60k to live.

If you grow up with money, basic costs can run you for 60k.
Education is not cheap it goes from 10k up to 50k if you are in richer areas, saving for a good college is not cheap, private healthcare is not cheap, motherfukking Aspen trips, a nice home, tutors, a car, extracurricular shyt (cat might wanna play golf or ride horses) and day to day costs.

That's not average Joe's life, but Mos Def was obviously stacking if he has to pay 60k per kid, that's 360k per year in child support.

You don't need a lot but as parents you do whatever you can for your kids to succeed in life, and if you have millions "whatever you can" is a lot more than the average Joe's "whatever you can". It's not a ridiculous amount, people like Nas pay nearly 60k per month allegedly, now that is crazy.
