Common EASY. Not because he's necessarily a more talented MC but because he takes it more seriously. Common's discography is amongst the best in Hip Hop while Mos Def's is...uneven to be kind....

mos does seem to let rhymes off his tongue a bit smoother, can sing ( a bit ) sometimes. arguably has the better guest appearances and timeless shyt like "memories.
com's got great stage presense and the better disco.
