First time hearing this. And its ten years old too?

Either way it's good shyt :ehh:

it's a gem in his catalog

probably the only reason you missed it is because it came out on that 1 cd of his true magic which came out with no promotion at all and as quick as the album was released it was damn near forgotten about aside from hardcore fans lol

i gotta flip this thread into a 2 song appreciation, because another 1 of my favorites where he sings is modern marvel :wow:

this nikka poured his heart, soul and tears into this shyt :mjcry:

"i come home high and she start to cry, i can't take it. a brand new excuse does me no use, that won't make it. she be home with kids, this is no way to live. what can i say? i know it's real, but i'm hard headed still, do things my way" :damn::to:

then you add the underlinin' fact that he sampled marvin gaye's flyin' high in the friendly sky :whew::ohlawd:

Got all of the essentials in the mighty mos def collection (BoBS, Blackstar, ecstatic) but I have seriously never heard of true magic

Also I really didn't like the new danger outside o this song

it was too left field for me but I may have to revisit that one too

it's a slept on and great album

many said it was a throwaway album but even if that was the case, he still put together a good piece of material

here go some more songs from it. like i said, this was a grea project for a so called "throwaway album"
