Syria and Iran wouldn't have these issues if they weren't international pariahs
Yeah the Iranians are a little salty that the US installed a corrupt dictator who Westernized them at gunpoint for two decades, then helped him flee the country with a good chunk of their treasury. Not to mention the US overthrew a democratically elected president of Iran for said corrupt dictator. And not to mention supported Saddam’s invasion of Iran which led him to gas hundreds of thousands of Iranians. And lastly not to mention every president for the last 25 years has threatened war with Iran and even members of govt making rap songs about bombing Iran. So yeah I think they have a right to be a little salty at the US and it’s foreign policy.
Hey at least you removed their most powerful enemy in Iraq and empower the Shiites, participated in a civil war in Syria that has made Hezbollah more battle hardened and acquire more advanced weapons despite Israel’s bombardment in Syria. And support their enemy Saudi Arabia in fighting a bloody expensive quagmire in Yemen so I guess the US knows what they are doing in stopping Iran’s influence in the region
