Heavy D is dope but he might be the most unoriginal rapper ever
RIP to both....but when Prince Markie Dee was on youtube and broke down how Heavy D was basically his clone it blew my mind
When Prince Markie Dee went solo everybody thought it was Heavy D (to be fair Hev came out solo first)
but he was the original Heavy D so he had people calling him a biter for sounding like himself
Prince Markie Dee did a ton of producing and songwriting behind the scenes a lot of the early Uptown and Bad Boy shyt was all him he did "Real Love" for Mary J and a bunch of other shyt people have no idea about
I could name another rapper that got a LOT from him but I'm not even gonna go there just listen to Prince Markie Dee's albums understand that he wrote and produced everything and if it sounds like something from another rapper did like a year before understand that other rapper got it from him
