Thank goodness things these stats for the last 29 years is no where near like the Crack era 80's early 90's :sadcam:. I'm too lazy to pull up the stats but no matter how much we complain now it was 100 times worse across the board.

The stats in Mexico as a country for murders is on another level:picard:

During the height of the crack epidemic of the 1980s, the number of homicides rose as high as 86, a department official previously told the Tampa Bay Times. By the late 1990s and early aughts, the city saw between 30 and 40 homicides annually. After a spike in 2003, when the city logged 41, the total settled into an annual range between 20 and 30.

Then came 2015, when gunfire between clashing neighborhood groups pushed the total number of homicides to 34, the most in more than a decade.

***Murder rate was a lil over 3x higher in the 80's. Tampa isn't it that big, its crazy to think how much worse it was in a more populated and normally dangerous city.

i think there has been a spike the latter part of this decade

Yeah a grip of cities saw a spike mid-decade, particularly 2014-2016. Most of those cities have started reverting back to the mean, a handful of cities like Baltimore saw a spike and have never really gone back...

Corny ass thread, neg

What's corny is you're in here talking about what's corny, yet in another thread about Detroit people are highlighting why people should go there and you're glorifying violence...

The good news here is you don't have to contribute to the thread, Smart Guy. Considering the other bullshyt that gets glorified and regurgitated around here every day, I'd say either you're bullshyt-o-meter is off or you're running behind on notifying everyone else how corny they're threads are...

There's a discussion to be had here if there's justification to talk about the other weird shyt on here, if you have nothing to say ain't nobody making you enter the thread or post, nikka...

This is the safest decade in the country since the 50s, according to the FBI. Only a handful of cities are seeing record murder rates (Baltimore has never been as dangerous as it is today), and there are a number of cities from New Orleans to Detroit to Richmond, etc, that are seeing their lowest rates in decades. We know both NY and LA are...

Looks like DC’s gone up a bit :francis:

DC is one of those cities that spiked and hasn't dropped all the way back yet, but this is still the safest era in The District since like the 60s...
