Tbh one of the thing that community (LGBTQ) doesn't wanna talk about is just how many of their folk are only that way BECAUSE of trauma like the one depicted in the comic. Granted it would require reflection and digging up extremely painful trauma so I never really press them I'd guess that easily anywhere between 1/10 and 1/5 lesbians/gays had to have been molested if not more. Either by a person of the opposite sex as a child and that sparks something in them to say nah to that gender for life as part of deletion/blocking of trauma or if it's a person of the same gender who molested them something in them changes and makes them like that same sex/gender to rationalize what happened. I think it all ties into trauma and coping (outside of those who were just batty from the womb, but no one really wants to dig further on such a touchy subject. Though I wouldn't be shocked if the battymon author is drawing from personal anecdotes in the comics either from his life or childhood friends. Future said it best, "It's an evil world we live in"
