No, a majority of the geniuses that made money are the ones who happened to find the right people to exploit their genius, but in a way they too could monetarily benefit from it.

This too. A lot of tech ideas, inventions, etc are bought/stolen ideas that someone else had the money/connections to push.

People are forgetting that a lot of financial success is due to money making money, connections, and luck. The avg joe, genius or not, is gonna have a significantly lesser chance of finding financial success than a wealthy person with connections. It won't make money if it's not put out there.....
