It was because of Melitta. There's a prequel comic that shows the fight between him and Oenomaus. Theokoles was going to execute Oenomaus in the arena but then he saw Melitta flippin' out in the crowd. He allowed Oenamaus to get back up but the fight was declared a draw. No wonder Oenamaus considered the fight a shame. :wow:
