I can't believe I am saying this...but easily Dirk...

Never tried to be somebody he wasn't...

Never tried to play outside of himself...

Classic stories in the DFW of Dirk out here at random strip clubs and fukking with random bustdowns...

His utter annihilation of Miami in the finals is the second favorite sports moment of my entire life...

Doesn't ever really feel a type of way about what people say about him...Kareem dissed him in a pretty bitter fashion and Dirk hit him with the "i respectfully disagree" and kept it moving...

I legit feel bad he went out on all those trash mavs teams his last few years because he definitely deserved better

Adrian Beltre gets an honorable mention cause I don't think I have ever heard a single person say anything bad about Beltre...

When he retired their were more people in Dallas who cried than it was when JFK got his top pez dispensed...

Dirk’s a good call

That 2011 playoff run changed his entire legacy

Growing up everybody loved Griffey....everyone trying to emulate his swing, plus he had 3 very good baseball games.

Also wanna throw Wade into the mix...maybe its the fact hes retiring but he seems like someone everybody could like.

The biggest peak was Tiger Woods before that incident.

Black folks were proud.
Latin folks were proud.
Asian folks were proud.
White folks were proud.

Think about this:
When was the last time you've seen the mass majority of white folks cheer for a young black man to beat younger and older white men in a competition?

Typing that right now made me :mindblown:

You may not see that in your lifetime again.

During that last major tournament win he had nearly the whole country was cheering big for Tiger.

Even today when they talk about dude's legacy people aren't trying to flip anything, nor make exceptions:

Jordan got a lot of love too, but a lot of people hated him when their teams played against the guy.
