Older millennials got dealt a bad hand. The first generation to actually be punished for following societal norms in terms of following traditional paths to success like going to college and sticking with a job at a big corporation.
If younger than us, please shut the fukk up. Because your generation learned what not to do from us. But we learned everything from Boomers who came up during the most prosperous times in modern history or we learned from fukked up Gen X folks who still somehow came out better than us financially as a whole. Seriously, I know Gen X former crackheads who have top tier government jobs with top pay. And a lot of them were still smoking in like 2010.
I've also seen the opposite. Younger millennials who had good careers and their shyt together at 25 but died at that age because they fukked around with drugs and alcohol and were green when it comes to the street shyt.
I have the best of both worlds. I graduated during the recession but ran the streets on and off my whole life. Us older millennials came up in an era where we had college degrees but had to look for months for jobs that paid $10 an hour. We lived childhoods where we know what tough is and who is just a wannabe selling wolf tickets. We see through your social media facades and unoriginal fabricated images.
So I'm no guppy who is going to be eaten alive out here when swimming outside of my coral of fake ass coral of respectability when the waters get a little turbulent. I'm the type of nikka who could go to school for two more years to get a masters degree to be a counselor making six figs steering wild kids and alcoholics and addicts back in the right direction because I came out of that life in one piece. But according to some square on the coli, I'm green because I didn't have some nerd ass job submitting to wage slavery at age 22. Nobody wants to hear people like you rap. Literally.
