No wrestling (freestyle, Greco, catch, folk, etc.)? Between the US, Canada, Eastern Europe, Turkey, Japan, and Iran, theres probably like 10 million amateur to semi-pro to pro wrestlers.
I mean, a lot of those are because of countries that practice the actual art.
But idk. A lot of Martial Arts are actually related to lifestyles. Like, it’s a part of people’s lifestyles. A lot of elderly practice Tai Chi and it’s actually good for them with that.
I took Karate and TKD (especially TKD, went to multiple dojos) as a kid and so did some family members so I believe that.
This list is believable to me. They’re saying practice, not competitive. Boxing is considered more like a sport in my opinion. MMA is just a mixture. A lot of kids and elderly do this stuff and dojos stay packed.
Tai Chi is quasi-yoga. And I'd have to ask a friend if mine who teaches it, but there are many form variants and martial arts variants can be mutually exclusive so that 300 million could be inflated.
I randomly saw they actually fight Muay Thai with headbutts now
That dropping headbutt in clip five at 1:55
It looks like you are seriously at a disadvantage as a taller fighter once folks get inside at they can basically headbutt your jaw after you tie their arms:
or do a leaping spearing headbutt:
Also listen to how bloodthirsty the crowd is. That is some shyt.
