I was told they buy games for 1st and foremost for the exclusives.

Yall been discussing this since 2014 on ths very site, theres records on it.
No one has ever once argued that the only reason to buy a playstation is for first party games, that first party could carry the console like it does for nintendo, that playstation Vs PC, or that 3rd party was never a huge reason PlayStation was popular (the biggest franchises on playstation were always final fantasy, gta, COD, etc)
The argument you and people like @Fatboi1 have been going back and forth with over the last 15 years has always been about why playstation was better than xbox to most gaming enthusiast and it is and will always will be because sony has had better and stronger exclusive first party titles, (and 3rd party exclusives)
And it’s still true today, and it’s why xbox doesn’t exist anymore beyond just a sticker.
nikka don't try to exclude yourself like you haven't been arguing the same thing more than @Fatboi1 . I specifically went back and forth with you during the ABK stuff about how PlayStation's success is based on acquisitions (psygnosis) and locking down 3rd party games. Not 1st party games... And how people bought the system because of 3rd party support and to play and trade games with their friends on the same platform.
It's crazy that y'all want to flip this like "we didn't say 1st party was the main reason" when there would be no reason to mention exclusives in a vacuum for years if it didn't weigh heavier than "we can play everything" if it did y'all would have just been saying "we can play everything" Not debating on who has the best exclusives... Now that exclusives are fewer and far in between its " it was never just about exclusives" not sure who y'all trying to fool besides yourselves
The whole reason this even became a debate is because y'all push back and said people buy consoles for exclusives and first party games 1st and foremost. That's it, That's how all this started...
