you can do a quick google to see how many iranian civilians have died since israel started bombing them. i saw one story that said over 400 died one week, another story talked about how 900+ had been killed. i don't know the totals but i'd imagine they're up there. i haven't even looked at the costs of the damage to the infrastructure. if you're lucky your fake nuke facility might be the only thing bombed, but i wouldn't put my hopes in that.

That can still happen if you have Nukes. Nukes are a deterrent against being nuked back. Not against regular bombings and soldiers. Israel and USA have nukers, we have both been attacked and bombed, had hostages taken from our countries plenty of times. Ukraine is in a long drawn out war against a country with nukes and has killed 250 thousand russian soldiers. Literally if you are able to convincely fake it, you would lose nothing in the grand scheme of things. because nobody is really gonna use them. but the money savings would be immense.

The tricky thing is Turkey is not Iran---they are much more battle tested and ready (proximity to Ukraine war, ISIS/Kurds/Syria), are much better militarily equipped than Iran, have competent Air Force, and NATO.

Israel attacking Turkey with no NATO response would destroy NATO and through Middle East and Europe into even more disarray

Plenty of countries do it in reverse. Iran has uranium enrichment facilities, and has done nuclear weapons development "research" has an active nuclear power plant, but they draw the line at actually using any of that to make weapons? I doubt it.
